Cadette Troop #10476 wins "Greenest"

Cadette Troop #10476 won "Greenest" at the 2011 Lichterman Nature Center Scarecrow Contest with their entry "Girl Scouts Can". New Tennessee Sales Tax Exemption Certificates

The Council has recently been informed that the State of Tennessee, Department of Revenue is requiring non-profit organizations to show sales tax exemptions dated July 1, 2011 .  The Department of Revenue has issued new exemption certificates with the July 1, 2011 date. Girl Scouts Heart of the South – On the Move!

The Girl Scouts Heart of the South Headquarters in Memphis will be relocating by year’s end to 717 S. White Station Rd., Memphis, TN 38037. We will close the current office the week of January 24 through 28 for the move. How was the decision made? 2010 Memphis Holiday Parade - register now!

We hope that you will participate in the 2010 Memphis Holiday Parade taking place on Saturday, December 4 at 5 pm in Downtown Memphis.  The parade will march down Main Street from Central Station to the Orpheum Theatre and will be taped for television and shown on the Library Channel soon after the parade date.  Non-profit and community organizations are invited to participate at no cost . Healthy Media for Youth Act Introduced in Senate with Girl Scout Support

U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) introduced legislation that establishes a national taskforce that would develop voluntary guidelines and other measures to promote positive images of girls and women.
