Option to Extended Your Cookie Program by One Week!

The Council is giving girls the option of extending their Cookie Program by one week! This is being offered to help girls reach their goals, allowing girls to count  cookies sold during this additional week towards their incentives, plus help to Council to reach our cookie goal.   Original due dates for payments and final paperwork will remain the same.   However, payment for any additional cases obtained during this extended week of sales will be due on March 15th... NPR: Teaching Negotiation Skills to Girls Could Close Gender Pay Gap

This morning, NPR has a story titled, 'Ask For A Raise? Most Women Hesitate'. It reports that in the face of a persistent gender pay gap, researchers and women's advocates are focusing on one little-discussed part of the problem: Women simply don't ask for more money. Cookie Sale Garners Congressional Award

KGUN9-TV in Tucson, AZ, reports that a Tucson Girl Scout Troop earned a Congressional award for selling Girl Scout Cookies recently. The office of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords presented Girl Scout Troop 518 with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition Friday for overcoming their fear and deciding to sell cookies at a place many of the girls still find scary.
