Girl Scout Heritage Visit Grants, Summer 2014

The Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace is offering approximately 25 “travelship” grants of up to $300 each to support Girl Scout troops and groups that have reserved a Girl Scout Heritage Visit this summer. These grants are intended to offset travel expenses and/or support one or more troop girls experiencing difficulty in raising the necessary travel funds. Volunteer at the Southern Women’s Show. Help the Council. Plus Get Free Admission!

Girl Scouts Heart of the South is looking for volunteers to work the Southern Women’s Show at Agricenter International the weekend of March 7-9 in Memphis, TN. In exchange for the council providing volunteers we will be able to host a Girl Scout Cookie Booth at the expo.   Volunteers will pass out magazine subscription cards for the Southern Women’s Show and ask show visitors to complete the cards to receive a free magazine subscription.    The volunteers must be... Two Projects Completed at Camp Fisherville

The Long Range Property Planning Committee is pleased to share with you the progress that is being made on our property plan.  Two projects were approved for Camp Fisherville.  The first was to install a green screen where our property adjoins our neighbors.  Native plants were used to provide privacy for our girls while they are using the Cookie Pavilion.  The landscaper did an amazing job with the selection and placement of the plants.  It looks totally...
