First Tennessee is celebrating their 150th birthday with their 150 Days of Giving campaign. Every day, for 150 days, a nonprofit organization will win $5,000 starting March 25 through August 21.  This generous gift would allow the council to grant "helperships" and "camperships" to girls wishing to be a part of Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts Donate "Future Girl Scout" Baskets at Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto.

On Monday, March 10, 2014, Hernando Area Girl Scouts delivered 17 baby baskets filled with newborn baby essentials and, of course, a box of Girl Scout cookies to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. This is the sixth year that Hernando Girl Scouts have delivered baskets to Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in honor of Girl Scout Week which this year is March 9 through March 15.
