Meri Armour Announced as Guest Speaker for GSHS Annual Meeting

We are thrilled to announce our guest speaker for the 2013 Girl Scouts Heart of the South's Annual Meeting, LeBonheur Children's Hospital President and CEO Meri Armour!

Meri was named president and CEO of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in 2007. She has since led the hospital through a major fundraising campaign and the opening of a $340 million state-of-the-art facility. In 2011, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital was named one of the country’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” by U.S. News & World Report. Meri has served on the Children’s Hospital Association Board of Directors and the Child Health Corporation of America Board of Directors.

Meri serves on the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce Board, the Urban Child Institute Board of Directors and the Memphis Research Consortium, and the United Way of Memphis. She is also a member of the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis and the Memphis Women’s Forum.

Meri received a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and CWRU Weatherhead School of Management.  

The 2013 Girl Scouts Heart of the South Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 27 at Lindenwood Christian Church in Memphis, TN. A reception will start at 12 p.m. with the meeting being called to order at 1 p.m.
