Girl Scouts Go: Savannah & Tybee Island
We are exploring our Girl Scout history and stretching our “sea legs” on this Georgia based adventure!
Girls will get an exciting look into the history of our remarkable founder and her home at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace. The guided tour will show girls where Girl Scouts began, and provide a glimpse into Juliette’s life through original artwork, furnishings, artifacts and more.
Girl Scouts will spend a morning discovering the unconventional life of Juliette “Daisy” Low, the daughter, debutante, wife, adventurer, and artist who became the first Girl Scout. Together, our group will experience Daisy’s childhood home, play her favorite games, and look closely at how she challenged expectations for women in her day to become a confident leader.
On a tour of beautiful Savannah, girls will also visit other Girl Scout points of interest, and enjoy the rich history of this Southern city.
Then get ready to spend time at the beach as we see dolphins, enjoy a riverboat cruise, and go on our own ecology walk!
