Tipton County Service Unit hosted a Kamporee at Kamp Kiwani.

Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani resides on 1,250 wooded acres and boasts of Lake Okalowa, a 70-acre lake where campers can ride horses, canoe, kayak, swim and play on the large inflatable water toy.
Kamp Kiwani is Girl Scouts Heart of the South’s largest camp. It can accommodate 237 people in six units, one lodge and Sandy Springs Ranch.
Each of the six units feature 4, four person, screened cabins, a unit house and shower house with flush toilets.
Ginny Lodge has a full kitchen with a wood burning stove and is heated in the winter. Offering a sleeping hall with seven sets of bunkbeds, a separate leader room with two beds and private bath, a sitting area, table area, and shower facilities and flush toilets.
Sandy Springs Ranch unit is designed for those who enjoy more rustic camping. There are five open-air bunkhouses, a unit house with a full kitchen and a shower house with flush toilets. This unit is used for our equestrian programs.
In the main camp area there is the Thunder Bird Dining Hall, the Trading Post, Health Hut and boat house. Thunderbird Hall features a
commercial kitchen and large stone fireplace.
Activities supported by the camp include horse back riding, canoeing, kayaking, archery, obstacle course, large game field, hiking, activity shelter and the Gullies mud dunes.
The original section of Kamp Kiwani was purchased in 1961 and has been hosting resident camp since 1965.
Kamp Kiwani is located approximately 65 miles east of Memphis, TN. The camp is open March through November and is used for an American Camp Association accredited residential camp during the summer.
