Building Relationships
Makes a Strong Community
This year,
over 70 girls at K eystone Elementary School in Memphis will participate in the Leadership
Journey “It’s Your World, Change It!” Girl Scouts Heart of the South is
partnering with AutoZone to make this possible. The Journeys program
encourages self-discovery in girls, leading them to identify their own
strengths and combine them with the strengths of others to create positive
lasting change in their communities.
Keystone is an AutoZone
Adopted School
through Memphis City Schools Adopt-A- School Program. Michelle Carr, parent of
Brownie Girl Scout Destinee Hemphill, says that “this generous offer has
allowed some parents the ability to have their daughter take part in something
that can help mold her life and create long lasting friends. I thank AutoZone
so much for this very generous offer that has been made available to the Girl
Scouts of Keystone.”
Girl Scouts Heart of the South wants to continue to foster partnerships like
this one that help build girls of courage, confidence and character who make
the world a better place.
