The Girl Scout program is based on the Girl Scout Promise
and Law, and a program that
encourages girls to:
Discover: Learn about
themselves and the world around them in age-appropriate ways.
Connect: Develop appropriate relationships with other girls
and adults and care about the needs of others.
Take Action: Find ways to improve and protect the world
around them, creating a better future for themselves and others through
age-appropriate community service, action-based projects, and community
partnerships that help others.
In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and
power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as
extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service
projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow
courageous and strong.
The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God* and
my country,
To help people at
all times,
And to live by
the Girl Scout Law.

The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and
helpful,
considerate and
caring,
courageous and
strong, and
responsible for
what I say and do,
and to
respect myself
and others,
respect
authority,
use resources
wisely,
make the world a
better place, and
be a sister to
every Girl Scout.
