Girl Scouts Heart of the South is excited to provide girls with empowering, hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) learning opportunities with three Program Centers: The Possibility Place – Memphis, The Possibility Place - Jackson, and now The Possibility Place – Tupelo.
The Possibility Places focus on key aspects of engineering, programming, environmental science, art & design, and culinary science through a variety of cooperative learning opportunities and hands-on experimentation. Girls can hone key skills such as creativity, innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, all while having fun and gaining confidence.

These unique facilities host a variety of structured and open-format creation and design-thinking activities that encourage girls to embrace the spirit of discovery in their lives.
There are two ways to use the Possibility Place:
- Girls and volunteers can choose to rent the space and do their own programming - just pay the rental fee.
- Select from a variety of Possibility Place staff-led activities and workshops and pay the program fee. Every staff-led activity is designed to have a badge-earning component. Leaders choose the area of programming and then work with GSHS Program Staff to determine what badge/workshop will be provided. Contact the program team for more information - info@girlscoutshs.org. Areas of program follow Girl Scouts' four pillars and include, Life Skills, Makerspace(STEM), Outdoor Explore, Art Space, and Coding Corner.
The Possibility Places are investments in the next generation of girl leaders, and will serve as hubs for girl innovation, exploration and discovery for girls throughout the council’s 59-county jurisdiction.
