In July, we announced that the Girl Scouts Heart of the South Board of Directors made the difficult decision to list and market Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani for sale, with proceeds to be invested in bringing outdoor experiences and adventures to more girls in our council and further our mission.
Since that announcement, the GSHS Property Committee and Board of Directors have worked diligently to carefully select an expert real estate company to help us advance that process.
After vetting multiple real estate firms, United Country Real Estate was selected. United Country has a national network and specializes in marketing land, country homes, and rural real estate. They have been integral in helping us determine the best approach to sell and maximize the return from the property.
On November 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm, Kamp Kiwani will be sold via auction. The auction will be held simultaneously online and on site at Kamp Kiwani by the United Country team. The property is now listed on multiple real estate platforms nationwide, and online bidding opens November 2.

Understandably, this news may be difficult to receive, but please be assured that Girl Scouts Heart of the South will always support and strive to grow our outdoor program. Our commitment to having a strong West Tennessee presence and engaging as many girls as possible in camping and a variety of outdoor experiences will never waiver.
To honor the legacy of Girl Scout Kamp Kiwani, current and former Girl Scouts, volunteers, friends, and family are invited to join us at the Last Linger and Final Campfire at Kamp Kiwani on Saturday, November 8th, from 3:00-6:30 pm. The Last Linger and Final Campfire will include time-honored traditions, including Scout’s Own, Girl Scout songs, a Flag Ceremony and Final Campfire.
