Leaders, as soon as you decide to start planning a trip, read Volunteer Essentials for general guidelines and the Safety Activity Checkpoints to learn more about activities girls may want to participate in on their trip.

Once your plans are set; Let Us Know You’re On the GO!!! Complete the Girl Scout Travel Approval Form and submit to info@girlscoutshs.org at least two weeks prior to your trip.
Don’t forget to plan in advance if you’re doing a high-risk or high-Adventure activity, and find out what you’ll need to make it an amazing and safe experience!! For trips longer than 2 nights, additional insurance is required and needs to be purchased through the council. Please see the Additional Insurance Request Form for more information. The Girl Scout Travel Approval form should be submitted when any trips are planned with the exception of traveling to GSHS program events. *Please note: Girl Scout Troops are not allowed to use Uber or Lyft services.

These trips are organized by Girl Scouts Heart of the South for Cadettes through Amabassadors and take place annually on regional, national, and international basis.
