2026 Red Cross Lifeguard Training with Waterfront

Lifeguard Training will take place on May 15th through 17th at Camp Tik-A-Witha. This is an overnight training where you will arrive and start the course at 6:00pm on May 15th and stay until 7pm on May 17th. Food, most supplies, and certification are all included in the price. Overnight accommodations are provided at camp. Participants will have to pass the pre-requisites in order to be a part of the class. If you don't pass the pre-requisites, a refund of fees paid will not be available. The pre-requisites are:
1) Swim 350 yards (breaststroke or freestyle), then tread for 2 minutes (hands out of water, legs only), and finally swim 200 more yards (breaststroke or freestyle). Goggles are allowed for this section only.
2) Timed portion of 1min. 40sec.: Swim 20 yards, surface dive to retrieve a 10lb brick, swim back to the start w/ the brick out of the water with both hands, and exit the water without using ladder or stairs. No goggles allowed.
3) Swim 5yds, submerge and retrieve 3 dive rings (each 5yds apart from another), and swim a final 5yds. No goggles allowed.
There will also be some pre-online work as well. A packing list will be sent with your confirmation.
