The Memphis Redbirds Women's Empowerment Event at AutoZone Park is an inspiring and engaging experience designed to empower, educate, and connect girls with accomplished women leaders, educational institutions, community organizations, and career opportunities throughout the Mid-South. Set against the exciting backdrop of a Memphis Redbirds baseball game, the event combines leadership development, career exploration, and interactive learning in a fun and memorable environment.
At the heart of the event is a dynamic Women's Empowerment Panel featuring influential women from a variety of industries and backgrounds. Panelists will share their personal educational journeys, professional experiences, leadership lessons, and advice for young people as they begin to explore their own futures. Through honest conversations and meaningful storytelling, participants will gain valuable insight into the paths that successful women have taken to achieve their goals and make an impact in their communities.
A special highlight of the event will be the participation of the Girl Scouts Heart of the South CEO, who will serve as a featured panelist. In addition to sharing her leadership experiences and vision for empowering girls, she will have the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the game, symbolizing the importance of strong female leadership and the opportunities available to the next generation.
Beyond the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of interactive exhibits and hands-on learning experiences provided by community organizations, educational institutions, and industry partners. Featured participants include the Girl Scouts Heart of the South Mobile STEM Lab, MLGW, Teacher Teacher, Southwest Tennessee Community College, and the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT), along with additional community partners and vendors. These exhibits are designed to engage girls in meaningful conversations about education, career readiness, innovation, and leadership while providing experiential learning opportunities that make career exploration both accessible and exciting.
The event will showcase pathways into high-demand industries, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), skilled trades, public service, education, and other professional fields. Participants will learn about higher education opportunities, workforce development programs, certifications, apprenticeships, and leadership initiatives that can help them achieve their personal and professional aspirations.
