Calling all future scientists, engineers, and innovators! Join us at Rhodes College for a FREE STEM Day designed especially for girls ages 9-11. Hosted as part of a community philanthropy initiative, this engaging event will introduce girls to exciting STEM concepts through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and interactive learning experiences.
Participants will explore a variety of STEM activities, including creating slime, investigating the science behind hovercrafts, viewing the world through telescopes, discovering patterns with kaleidoscopes, experimenting with gravity wells and centripetal force, and experiencing the power of a Van de Graaff generator. Along the way, girls will have opportunities to ask questions, think critically, and explore how STEM impacts the world around them.
More than just a day of science fun, this event aims to empower girls to see themselves as capable STEM leaders. Through collaboration, problem-solving, and discovery, participants will build confidence in their abilities and gain encouragement to pursue STEM opportunities in school and beyond.
Space is limited to 30 girls, so don't miss this exciting opportunity to learn, explore, and be inspired at Rhodes College!
