Looking for something new for your troop to learn about? 901 Fishing Pond and Agriculture offers hands-on fishing and gardening lessons for girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Girls will enjoy the outdoors while getting their hands a little dirty and learning valuable outdoor skills. During the fishing lesson, participants will learn how to cast, bait, and reel a fishing pole. They will also learn fish identification and basic pond ecology. In the gardening lesson, girls will learn how to prepare soil, plant seeds, water properly, and care for growing plants. Each girl will also plant her own seed and take home a plant to nurture and watch grow. These engaging lessons provide a fun way for girls to connect with nature while learning practical outdoor skills.
